Thermocouples

Thermocouples connect directly to a gas valve. The other end is placed directly into the flame of a pilot light. If it does not sense a flame, it does now allow the gas valve to open. Do not confuse a thermocouple with a flame sensor. Difference is that a flame sensors connects directly to a control board.
