Transformers

Transformers change electricity from a higher voltage to lower voltage. For example, 120 volts input and 24 volts output. Most furnaces and A/C units require a 24 volt circuit for operating thermostats, circuit boards, relays & other controls. The transformer provides power for that circuit.
